Location: Maro is situated approximately 4 km east of Nerja and 55 km east of Malaga.
How to get there: You can reach Maro by car from Malaga via the N-340 road or the A-7 motorway. There are also regular buses that connect Nerja with Maro.

Caves of Nerja: Although technically in Nerja, these caves are very close to Maro and are one of the most important attractions in the region. They are famous for their impressive stalactite and stalagmite formations, and for hosting concerts due to their excellent acoustics.
Cliffs of Maro-Cerro Gordo: This protected area offers spectacular views of the Mediterranean and is ideal for hiking, snorkelling and diving. The cliffs are teeming with marine life and indigenous flora.
